Week of 2/17-2/21

Thank you to our amazing moms who will be coming in this afternoon

to run our Valentine’s Day Party. I can’t wait!

I’ve noticed the kiddos are missing lots of supplies; can you ask your

child what they need?  Maybe a trip to Target or Walmart is in order!

It could be pencils, colored pencils, crayons, etc.!

Come to the Darien McDonald’s on Wednesday for McTeacher Night!

It’ll run from 4:30 - 7:30.  Should be fun! I’m lovin’ it!!!

Ms. Kojak (our student teacher) will be starting full take over for the next 6 weeks. She will be doing all the things I normal would do when it comes to teaching, grading, planning and so forth. She has been doing an amazing job so far and the kids love her. If you need anything please still email me and we can work together on anything. I will still be in the room facilitating and working with her.

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling:  New spelling words and the menu will be coming home on 

Tuesday. Homework will be due on or before 2/27.

Reading & Language Arts:  Reading logs went home and are due back on 3/2.

Ms. Kojak will be introducing expository writing by talking about main idea and details.

This will lead into the country writing reports that will start the following week!

Social Science: We continue our science unit on inheritance

and traits. 

Mrs. Mandru's Math Class: This week we continue Unit 5 on Multiplication,
Division, and Area.  The times 7 quiz will be on Friday!

nice sitting down with you to discuss your child.

Coming Up Next Week:

Our Valentine's Day party is in the afternoon of Thursday, 2/13. If you would
like your child to bring in Valentine's, we have 23 students in class. You do not
need to address each card, you can just have the students
write their name on the from part.

The students won a marble party. They voted on a camp put again.
This will be on Tuesday 2/12. They can bring in a PG or G movie,
sleeping bag, pillow, an animal, and wear PJ's.
This will be so fun and they worked hard for it!

Spelling: Spelling words & homework menus came home, please be working on them.
The homework will be due on or before 2/13.

Reading & Language Arts:  The february reading logs went home. Please sign each day
your child reads. It is due back on or before 3/2.

Social Science: We continue our science unit on inheritance

and traits. 

Mrs. Mandru's Math Class: We have started unit 5. This chapter focuses on multiplication
and division. Please be practicing at home. The X 6 test will be moved to wednesday, 2/13.
