Week of October 28- November 1

Halloween is almost here!  Please make sure your child brings his/her
costume to school in a bag on Halloween (Thursday.)   Costumes should be
easy to get on and off. Students will be changing in the classroom (we separate
the boys and the girls.) If you have any questions, send me an email.

Don’t forget about the parade (which will begin at 1:55ish.)
Hopefully the weather will cooperate!

I’ll see you all next week for conferences!

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling:  A new set of words will be coming home on Monday with a
pink menu. That homework will be due on or before 11/8.

Reading & Language Arts:  We’ll continue our writing this coming week!
Our big writing project,“Buy My Haunted House” has been assigned and
discussed.  Students will be using adjectives, similes, and all kinds
of descriptive words.

October reading logs are due by November 5.

Social Science: We are deep in our Downers Grove unit and loving it.

Mrs. Mandru's Math Class: We are moving along in Unit 3. We’ll
continue to focus on multi-digit addition and subtraction.
