April 3-7

This week starts our PARCC testing. We will be testing Math the first week and ELA the following week. Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a good snack!Chromebooks need to be fully charged every night and ear phones should be brought to school daily! 

We had a great time at the Shedd Aquarium! Thank you to our parent volunteers!

Social Studies: This week students will continue to study the Chicago Fire. They will write a story about the Chicago Fire from Cow O'Leary's point of view!

Science:   We’ll be taking a brief hiatus from Science.

Spelling: Students will receive a new spelling list. The 4 activities will be due on Thursday, April 13th. They will also have their spelling test on Thursday, April 13th. There is no school Friday, April 14th.

Reading & Language Arts:  We are continuing  The One and Only Ivan.  After Spring Break, we’ll be focusing on continuing the reading and discussion using our Ivan packet.

Math: We will be finishing up our unit 6. A study guide will go home on Wednesday and be due back the following Wednesday, April 12. The test is scheduled for Monday, April 17th.
