Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
We are coming up to the final week before Spring Break. It’s also Spirit Week!! AND, we are visiting the Shedd Aquarium on Friday!! Please make sure your child brings a totally disposable lunch/brunch on that day. We’ll be eating super early, 10:00 a.m., (this is the only time we could get into the Shedd lunchroom) so students don’t need a morning snack since we won’t have time to eat it here at school. We are so lucky to be able to see our beautiful city and take in the Shedd for free!
Coming up Next Week:
Spelling: Spelling HW is due on Friday, 3/23 as well as the test since we will be at the Shedd all day on Friday~!
Reading & Language Arts: We’ve started The One and Only Ivan and the children are very excited about it! This week, we’ll be focusing on continuing the reading and discussion using our Ivan packets.
March reading logs will be due after Spring Break.
Social Studies: We will continue reading about the Chicago fire and doing some cool activities to go along with out learning!
Science: We have finished up our space chapter and there will be a chapter test on Thursday March, 23. A study guide will go home today.
Mrs. Mandru's Math Class: We are half way through our geometry unit and will continue. We will be taking our X11 test in Thursday.

End of day 3/24 - Spring Break begins
4/14 & 4/17 - non-attendance days (Easter)
